Official weekend picks were sent out yesterday. Time for a little bonus play for the Thursday Night game tonight. I don’t love anything spread-wise in Bucs/Eagles. At first I was looking to do a little 2-team ML parlay with the Bucs to win + Memphis to beat Navy tonight. That pays out -145….not bad. I’ll probably sprinkle that, and if you don’t mind laying larger than -120ish, I think that’s decent value.
But the way more fun way to bet primetime games….Same Game Parlays.
I use DraftKings - so all of these are available there. My strategy with these is to shoot for the moon and cook up something with crazy value, only throw a very small amount on this that you expect not to win. But God forbid if midway through the 4th quarter all you need is one TD left…..exhilerating!!!!

My take: Gronk still out, Brate got a few red zone targets last week. Goedert is out, Ertz will be go-to TE, and Bucs defense is #1 against the run so Eagles will be throwing. Hurts’ longest pass 4 of 5 weeks was longer than 35 yards. Need Philly to take an early lead (maybe 3-0 after opening drive?). 90 to 1, I love it!
Now without further ado…..presenting the first ever Carter Elliott-led edition of Cat’s Picks.
CAT’S PICKS:
On March 15th 1993 at around 5:30pm ET a young Carter Elliott was about to enter the world. My father was not only sweating out my birth but also whether the over/under on the time I was being born would cash. And from that day forth a gambler was born. Please note I am a gambler not a handicapper. My picks are always passionate and from time to time they even win. Greg has allowed me (because he wants to or out of pity), to make some guest appearances on the SleepersBets newsletter. What better time to start now. Whether you win with me or fade me and win, just know I will always be with you. I will provide you with 2 picks this time around (one being from soccer for my footy fans).
For our first bet we go to the English Premier League with Manchester United vs Leicester +0.5 (-125). For this matchup I am backing Leicester (might even sprinkle ML). One, Leicester is at home and when teams play at home in the Premier League it is very very hard to come away with 3 points and the home field advantage along with the fact that United is not in great form makes me confident this game could end in a draw. Also note that Manchester United will be without 2 of their best players in Raphael Varane and Harry Macguire. Missing both CB’s against a striker of Jamie Vardys caliber? Yeah United will struggle.
Now we move on to the NFL where I will be bringing back one of my favorite NFL betting past times entitled #FadeTheBake. The Cleveland Browns cannot stop a soul who has a competent QB and Kyler Murray is locked in right now. The Browns are a solid football team, but if I can get the Cardinals at + value it’s too good to pass up. I’m rolling with Cardinals +150.
