Well, the Elite Eight is half way over, and there is only one Big Ten team left...yep it is MSU!! Purdue had a heartbreaker loss, which helped us see that Houston is beatable, and UM helped us see that Auburn is also beatable...But, not so sure about Florida or Duke - they were pretty invincible against their respective opponents.

Braden Smith had a great game - until he didn't. He had assists on all 11 baskets in the second half. The referee time out with 2.8 seconds left gave Houston time to create a play - which caused Smith to zig after Cryer, instead of sticking with Uzan, who got the assist of the tournament from Tugler to win the game.

Sorry, Great Lakes State - no rivalry matchup on Sunday! UM started out strong against Auburn, and was up by nine with about 12 minutes left...but then had a drought and Auburn went on a 12-0 run (this is a game of runs). The two guys who were very instrumental in UM's last few wins did not show up last night, Gayle. Jr. and Donaldson. This fan was not overly impressed with Johni Broome, though. Do I see daylight for MSU on Sunday/ Maybe...

Not much I can say about Florida or Duke, except that they are damn good!! Flagg had 30 for the Blue Devils, aganst the Wildcats in a game where the combined score was almost 200 points, and Florida made Maryland really crabby!!

No one in Tennessee cares that Kentucky beat their SEC rival twice in the regular season. Kentucky could not sink threes like the previous match-ups, and Tennessee's defense was relentless everywhere else on the court. You know, live by the three, and die by the three!

MSU squeaked by Ole Miss. Pedulla gave them fits all night long, scoring a game high 24 points. Jase Richardson stepped up, once again, and kept MSU in the game. The whole team worked the Rebels, and started to wear them down, in the second half. Rebel fouls began to add up, and the ten player rotation prevailed! We cannot let our next opponent outrebound us like Ole Miss did, and we need to be a first and second half team tomorrow!!
